The village is about 37 km from the town of Chania, 35km from Rethymno and about 40 km from Chania airport ”Daskalogiannis”,and 90 km.from airport Heraklion ”Kazantzakis” .The nearest port ”Souda” is 30 km away. The nearest health center is in the village Vamos 10 km away and the lake ”Kournas” is 9 km away.
Maza is also very close to the traditional village Vrisses, famous for the fresh yogurt. The nearest beach is at Georgioupoli, about 6km away. Maza is situated in a area of great natural beauty, where you can enjoy walks. There are also several old churches. Visit the traditional cafe and enjoy the tasty mediterranean cuisine at the tavern of the village.
