Come to the green Kaloniktis, only 10 minutes from the city of Rethymnon. According to the tradition, the village, and indirectly also the Municipality of Nikiforos Phokas where it belongs, owes their name to the following incident: when Nikiphoros Phokas expedited in Crete on March 961 AD in order to free it from the Arabs Saracens, he camped for one night on the above hill, which he had previously freed, after a battle. When the dawn came, someone asked him: “How did you spend your night?” And he said, “Good night!” So the village was named “Kaloniktis”, which means good night, and the hill and the location, where the Byzantine general and later Emperor was camping, was called “Nikiforos”. Nikiforos Fokas is considered the founder of the village and there is a road to the village in his honor.
The access is done through Atsipopoulo’s junction, outside of Rethymno. While crossing many traditional Venetian villages, such as Gonia, Ag. Andreas, Prines, you reach the village of Kaloniktis. Villa Zeus residential complex consists of five independent and fully-equipped residences. A suite which name comes from the goddess Hera, the wife of Zeus, and four apartments, that their names come from the word night- another name for it in the Greek language is “espera” synonym to the name of the village “ Kaloniktis” (good night), and their names are Aegle, Arethusa, Eritrea And Focus.
The complex has specially designed outdoors, such as lawn garden, large pool with massage, children’s pool, playground, and parking. Additionally there is a barbecue covered with traditional banquets, wood oven, grill, and parasol.

Located at the first level of the complex, it has the advantage of being in front of the garden and the swimming pool. Covering 65 square meter, provides a comfortable stay for three people. Features a bathroom with hydro massage, a separate room with a large wardrobe, a double bed, a living room with a large sofa-corner, fireplace, refrigerator, air-condition, alarm, internet. It also has access to the shared kitchen and WC. It is suitable for bridal accommodation.
Apartment “Aegle” – means glow, radiance, sparkle, brilliance of light, brilliant reputation, glory, and majesty. Aegle is the nymph of brilliance and light.
It is located on the second level of the complex and has a large terrace with view. It covers 79 square meter, and provides a comfortable stay for five people. It has two bedrooms, a bathroom, a kitchen with an open-plan living room with a large sofa-corner, fireplace, air-condition, alarm, internet.
Apartment “Erythia” – means red (sea) – green, welcoming and she is the nymph of life and soul.
It is located on the second level of the complex and has a large terrace with views. It covers 71 square meter, providing a comfortable stay for three people. It has one bedroom, a bathroom, a separate storage room, a kitchen with a single-room, living room with a large sofa-corner, fireplace, air-condition, alarm, internet.
Apartment “Hestia” – means the one that focuses, stays, is at the center of the house-Hestia, and is the nymph of the home, home life and family.
Located on the third and final level of the complex, it has large verandas with perimeter views. Covering 94 square meter, provides a comfortable stay for six people. It is divided into two floors. On the ground floor there is a bedroom, bathroom, kitchen with one-room living room, fireplace. On the floor there are two bedrooms, a bathroom with hydro massage and a balcony. It has air-condition, alarm, internet.
Apartment “Arethusa” – means irrigation, watering, healing and she is the nymph of springs and forests.
Located on the third and final level of the complex, it has large verandas with perimeter views. Covering 94 square meter, provides a comfortable stay for six people. It is divided into two floors. On the ground floor there is a bedroom, bathroom, kitchen with one-room living room, fireplace. On the floor there are two bedrooms, a bathroom with hydro massage and a balcony. It has air-condition, alarm, internet.
