A stone villa dating back from the 19th century which has been completely restored following traditional standards.
In the past, it was the home of the village winemaker, and so the old wine press was refurbished as well.
The villa can accommodate from 2 to 7 people.
It consists of 3 bedrooms, each with their own bathroom and terrace.
Two of the bedrooms have a sea view.
A large kitchen which is open to the living room will accompany you on all your meals.
A beautiful heated pool, surrounded by lush vegetation will allow you to swim throughout the year.
Your villa has just been tastefully restored, you will feel at home.
The bedding is of high quality.
All the furniture was made by local craftsmen, selected for the love of their work.
The chosen materials are ceramic, marble, wood, cotton, burlap, stone and polished concrete.
The selection of everything in your home has been meticulously designed with respect for the environment and the search for your well-being.

You will not even need a car if you want to spend a quiet holiday.
From the residence you can see the bay of Almyrida.
A pretty garden surrounds the residence, carefully maintained by Yannis the owner.
There is a vegetable garden, a herbarium and beautiful fruit trees (plum, apricot, pomegranate, orange, lemon, and a vine producing delicious grapes and even more).

Under the beautiful rotunda, you can quietly read in a cool environment, sheltered from the sun.

(a fridge, a four-burner electric hob, a hood, a microwave, a coffee maker, a kettle, a juicer, a dishwasher and a washing machine, as well as all the utensils and crockery necessary for the preparation of a delicious meal)
• three bathrooms, Italian shower and toilet
• two terraces with chairs and tables, one with a sea view
• a private patio for one of the bedrooms

You will find a superb heated pool 35 m2 in winter and in the back season to allow you to swim all year round.
In the shelter of the old ruins, you can read quietly in this area which has a cool temperature.
It is ideally located in the heart of Xirosterni and only 8 minutes from the fishing village of Almyrida and its sandy beaches.
Xirosterni is made up of old traditional houses with magnificent views of Souda Bay and the White Mountains.
It is only 2 km from Vamos, 9 km from Kalyves and 6 km from Almyrida beach.
In the nearby village of Gavalochori, 3 km away, guests can visit a traditional Cretan embroidery workshop and a folklore museum.
Xirosterni is known for its music festival which takes place every year on August 5th.
The village was previously known as ‘Viola’ – a pretty local flower.
The new name for the villa is a combination of two Greek words meaning “dry cistern” or “dry well”. You can admire in the garden a perfectly restored cistern.
